Welcome to the Game Theory Lab, CSA, IISc

The research philosophy of the Game Theory Lab is motivated by the challenges and needs for modern industry and academics to model several strategic events in a mathematical framework. Examples include the Internet Advertising, Auctions, Social Networks, Incentives in Machine Learning etc. All of these paradigms have a common flavor, the presence of strategic agents and their conflicting and sometimes common interests. In GTL, we address these problems in the light of Game Theory to analyze and look out for solutions using Mechanism Design theory.

The results of the mathematical modeling to these problems often turned out to be quite effective and attracted the attention of several academic and business organizations, which had funded several projects of this lab. For more details on the work and the projects, please visit the Research and Projects pages.
